The Farmingdale State College Department of Athletics is proud to lead by example in service to our community. Our student-athletes not only excel in their respective sports but also dedicate their time and efforts to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Through a variety of outreach initiatives, we aim to strengthen bonds within our community, demonstrate the power of giving back, and encourage others to get involved in making a positive impact.

- Sep 13, 2024 - Men's Golf coach Ryan Williams announced a new team member, signing 13-year old Brody Nadata through Team IMPACT. Brody joined the squad at the beginning of the fall season and will participate in many activities with the team including practices, matches and other team events. PRESS RELEASE
- Oct 9, 2024 - Men's Soccer hosted second annual 'Salute to Veterans' match, welcoming three veterans from the Northport VA Medical Center to Nold Hall. A special pregame ceremony honored Richard Bass, Dennis Cudahy and Nick Piazza as the Veterans of the Game. PRESS RELEASE
- Oct 25, 2024 - Farmingdale State SAAC members volunteered in Northside Elementary School's "Trunk or Treat" Event. The participating FSC student-athletes represented half of the Rams' varsity sports, and set up Northside's gymnasium to play host to relay races, ring toss and other carnival-style games during the two-hour event for children ranging from kindergarten to grade 5. - Jan 11, 2025 - Men's Basketball hosts seventh annual CYO Day, where youth teams from across Long Island participated in a free basketball clinic and pizza party with the FSC coaches and student-athletes before tip-off. - Jan 11, 2025 - Men's Lacrosse joined forces with the Long Island Metro Lacrosse Foundation (LIMLF) for a wheelchair lacrosse game for the third consecutive year. Continue to increase awareness participation in wheelchair lacrosse throughout Long Island. PRESS RELEASE - GALLERY
- Feb. 1, 2025 - Women's Lacrosse collaborated with the Levittown Tomahawks, a youth club program on Long Island, for a joint practice. The Rams ran the young athletes through skill-building drills and taught the game of lacrosse. PRESS RELEASE WITH PHOTOS
- Mar 4, 2025 - Men's Lacrosse competed against 11 other teams in the Teams for St. Baldrick's virtual event, with the goal of raising the most money for the cause. PRESS RELEASE

- Oct 3, 2023 - Men's Soccer Salute to Veterans Game – Northport VA Medical Center. Invited the group to come attend a game, honored during pre-game ceremony announcing Veterans of the Game.
- Oct 22, 2023 - Men's Lacrosse midfielder, Michael Cassano, ran a half marathon and the team helped raise money for Angel Hair, Inc. Raised $1,635 for wigs for cancer patients. PRESS RELEASE
- Nov 6-13, 2023 - Men's Basketball Coach Steve Raiseld donated $230 in the 3-pointers for Israel fundraiser – Beit Halochem, the Friends of Israel's Disabled Veterans. In total the fundraiser raised $9,000 between 64 coaches over the country. PRESS RELEASE

- Feb 3, 2024 - The Men's Lacrosse team proudly teamed up with the Long Island Metro Lacrosse Foundation (LIMLF) to play a wheelchair lacrosse game. The Foundation is dedicated to fostering inclusivity and passion for lacrosse, and have partnered with a Hammerheads team that plays a vital role in promoting physical activity among adaptive athletes. - Feb 10, 2024 - Softball held a free clinic for Howitt Middle School. Met with the members of the Farmingdale Little League and worked with the players from the majors. The clinic ran from 12:30pm-2:30pm.
- Mar 15, 2024 - Men's Lacrosse student-athletes, Trey Connolly and Nick Rizzuto, shaved their heads for the St. Baldrick's Foundation Shave-Off. PRESS RELEASE
- Mar 28, 2024 - Men's Lacrosse coach Sean Chamberlain and the entire Farmingdale State College Department of Athletics partnered with Team 91 and Dynamic Sports Management to raise money for fallen NYPD Police Officer Jonathan Diller's family. - Apr 7, 2024 - SAAC members volunteered at the annual Ram Run on campus – Help with registration, check-ins, etc.
- Apr 16, 2024 - Men's Golf team gave a free golf lesson to students in the Disability Services Center. Interacted and taught about a skill that is considered a lifetime sport.
- Apr 19, 2024 - SAAC members celebrated its annual Community Engagement Week from April 15-19, and nine student-athletes from FSC's athletics program paid a visit to nearby Northside Elementary School to meet students in their classroom environments. PRESS RELEASE

- Oct 1, 2022 - SAAC and all 18 FSC teams helped with the Ann Asparro Run - 100-mile run by Jay Asparro. Each team sponsored an hour and ran with Jay Asparro who was raising money for the Long Island Alzheimer & Dementia Center. Helped Jay raise $32,186 for the cause.
- Oct 4, 2022 - Men's Basketball welcomed a Team IMPACT member. Elijah Powell, a 9-year old, was named an honorary member of our men's basketball team for a 2-year stint with the team.
- Oct 8, 2022 - Parkinson's Moving Day walk – Wandle's Warriors team. The Men's Lacrosse team was the top donor of the walk with a $6,000 donation to the cause.
- Nov 15, 2022 - SAAC Island Harvest food drive. Collected donations in Nold Athletic Center lobby. 52-pound donation to the cause.
- Dec 10, 2022 - Men's Basketball Annual CYO Day – Clinic, pizza, game. 11-teams participated.

- Mar 1, 2022 - Baseball Team IMPACT member – Welcomed a Team IMPACT member. Dennis Moreira, a 15-year old, as an honorary member of our baseball team.
- Mar 17, 2023 - St. Baldrick's Skyline Shave-off. One of our Men's Lacrosse players, Tyler Kollar, represented for Farmingdale State. One player from each Skyline men's lacrosse team participated and shaved their head for the cause.
- Mar 29, 2023 - Men's Lacrosse brought therapy horses to AHRC Center. The team brought mini horses to the children. Horseability is the company who provided the horses.
- Apr 2, 2023 - SAAC volunteered for the Ram Run – assisted with registration, check-in, handing out water on course and anything else needed at the event.
- Apr 8, 2023 - Men's Lacrosse X Metro Lacrosse Foundation Legends Game. Long Island Metropolitan Lacrosse Foundation. Honored 8 lacrosse legends from the Metro area during pre-game ceremony and throughout the game.
- Apr 15, 2022 - Farmingdale Baseball and Softball Little League Day. Welcomed youth players from the Farmingdale Little League, they marched on the field for pre-game ceremonies and ran the baseball and had a catch in between games.
- June 25, 2023 – Men's Basketball volunteered for second year in a row at Katie McBride run. It is a 5K run or walk, raising money for childhood Leukemia victims.
