BOHEMIA, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's lacrosse team, along with staff members from Team 91 Lacrosse, made their annual holiday visit to the children at the People's Arc of Suffolk on Wednesday.

FSC head coach Sean Chamberlain has been involved with making visits to the organization since the winter of 2003, when he first visited with his teammates as a student-athlete at Stony Brook University. The involvement of his teams and organizations – as a student-athlete, businessman and coach, has continued annually. The Rams teams have taken part in this collaboration since Chamberlain's arrival in the 2014-15 academic year, with this winter's visit marking Farmingdale State's 11th appearance on the Bohemia campus.

FSC helped Santa distribute personalized gifts to each student and spent time with each group of students in the organization's Saul and Elaine Seiff Educare Center.

People's Arc (formerly AHRC Suffolk) realizes that it takes more than an Individualized Educational Plan to help intellectually and physically disabled children reach their full potential. Students served in the Educare Center receive a combination of health and educational services tailored to support their strengths and abilities.

"The people and staff here are great," said Chamberlain. "This is a great cause, and our players learn a lot about interacting with other people and bringing people joy. The People's Arc is just a phenomenal place."

"Sean Chamberlain provides gifts for more than just the children. What he gave me may be the greatest gift I have ever received," said Lars Tiffany, head coach at the University of Virginia – who experienced these visits with Chamberlain when he served as his coach at SBU. "He showed me the power, the joy, and the love that one person can share and gift to countless others."

"This is more important than any of the games that we play," commented senior midfielder Tyler Kollar (Bellport, N.Y.). "Being able to give back and carry this with you forever, and remembering that you were able to impact other people's lives and bring them joy is an amazing experience."
