Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team defeated York College (NY) today in a non-conference game in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams posted their third shutout of the season with the 4-0 victory to improve to 3-5 overall, while the Cardinals dropped to 0-5-1.

Junior forward John Popovic (Baldwin, N.Y.) scored the eventual game-winner at 12:22 off a corner kick and would assist on the third goal of the day by freshman midfielder J.T. Famularo (Levittown, N.Y.).

Freshman midfielder Victor Romero (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and freshman defender Luciano Staffa (Farmingdale, N.Y.) posted the other Farmingdale State goals.

Junior goalkeeper Angelo Viteritti (East Northport, N.Y.) made four saves for the win.

Farmingdale State will travel to Albertus Magnus on Sunday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m.
