Manhattanville - 2, Farmingdale State - 1
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 Skyline Conference decision to Manhattanville on Saturday afternoon in Farmingdale, N.Y.

After a scoreless first half, Manhattanville (8-9-1, 6-3-1 Skyline) broke through in the 66th minute when Alex Rojas scored off a cross from Guido Sarango that slipped past the goalkeeper and inside the left post.

The Valiants extended their lead to 2-0 in the 76th minute as Roberto Velasquez-Osorio tapped home a cross from Luis Del Riego in front.

Farmingdale State (4-8-4, 3-3-4 Skyline) cut the deficit to one in the 86th minute. Freshman midfielder Carlos Hernandez (Dix Hills, N.Y.) played a through ball up the middle to freshman winger Lucca Noboa (Freeport, N.Y.), who went in alone and finished with his left foot to the top-right corner for his team-leading fifth goal of the season.

The Rams had one final opportunity in the closing minutes, but the shot went wide of the net as Manhattanville held on for the 2-1 win.

Freshman Josue Granados (Brentwood, N.Y.) led Farmingdale State with five shots, while Noboa, William Guillen (Locust Valley, N.Y.) and Hernandez each recorded one shot on goal. Senior goalkeeper Rocco Dispinseri (Dix Hills, N.Y.) made four saves in the loss.

The Rams next play host to Maritime on Wednesday, October 29th at 6:00 p.m. on Senior Night.
