Men's Tennis Drops One-Point Match at Oneonta

ONEONTA, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's tennis team fell Saturday afternoon in a non-conference match at SUNY Oneonta, 4-3.

The Red Dragons (8-9) earned the doubles point by taking two of the three matches against the Rams (2-4), who received a 6-4 win in the No. 2 position by junior Kwaku Ageyman (Middletown, N.Y.) and freshman Henri Pothier (Montgomery, N.Y.).

FSC captured three singles victories, including freshman Devan Melandro (Syosset, N.Y.) in the top flight, who defeated his Oneonta opponent, 6-2 and 6-1. Pothier registered a 6-4, 6-0 victory at the No. 4 flight, while junior Danial Zindani (Walden, N.Y.) collected a triumph at the sixth position by identical scores.

Farmingdale State is back in action Monday afternoon (April 6), when it plays host to the University of Saint Joseph at 4:30 p.m.
