SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's tennis team competed at the 2026 ITA DIII Northeast Regional Championship on Friday at Skidmore College, with seven Rams competing across the singles and doubles draws.
Senior Kwaku Agyeman (Middletown, N.Y.) and junior Michael Lerman (Massapequa, N.Y.) competed in the Main Draw singles competition. Agyeman opened with a 6-1, 6-0 loss to Michael Georgelis of Hobart, while Lerman fell to Ziwen Ju of the University of Rochester, 6-0, 6-0. In the Main Draw Consolation, Agyeman dropped an 8-2 decision to Arhan Gupta of Union, while Lerman battled Peter Barnham of Pratt before falling, 8-6.
In Main Draw doubles, sophomore Luke Plana (Bohemia, N.Y.) and senior Emil Sabovic (Bohemia, N.Y.) were defeated by Felipe Postolov and Nathan Chan of The College of New Jersey, 8-4. The duo then fell to Joshua Chu and Kaiser Zhao of Rochester, 8-3, in the consolation draw.
Senior Danial Zindani (Walden, N.Y.) competed in the B Draw singles, falling to Nathan Dolgushev of Skidmore, 6-0, 6-0. Zindani then dropped an 8-4 decision to Joshua Bey of Baruch in the consolation.
The doubles team of senior Myles Freelin (Islip, N.Y.) and sophomore Broc Brown (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) competed in the B Draw, falling to Debarshi Sen and Archyut Ravindran of RPI, 8-4. In the consolation, FSC battled Kameron Fernandez and Marco Lee of St. Lawrence before dropping an 8-6 decision.
The Rams will next compete in the Garnet Cup, hosted by Union College, on Saturday, October 3rd and Sunday, October 4th. Farmingdale State will face Union on Saturday before taking on either Oneonta or Manhattanville on Sunday.
