Richie Heyder (Holbrook, N.Y.) was cited on the listing after helping the Rams to six Skyline Conference victories during that time.
Heyder, the nation's leader in batting average (.512), on-base percentage (.643) and on-base plus slugging (OPS; 1.531), slashed .625/.739/1.313 across doubleheader sweeps of Yeshiva (Thu.), Maritime (Fri.) and St. Joseph's-Brooklyn (Sun.), with six extra-base hits (3 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs), 13 RBI, 12 runs scored and seven walks (two intentional) across 23 plate appearances. An All-Region selection one year ago, he has a FSC-record 16 doubles this season, and the third-year Rams standout has laced a program-record 38 doubles in his career to date.
Entering the final weekend of regular-season play, Farmingdale State has a record of 20-9, and is in a three-way tie for first place in the Skyline Conference with a 12-4 record. The Rams will carry a 14-game winning streak into Friday's road conference doubleheader at Purchase College, with first pitch against the Panthers scheduled for 3 p.m.
