FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State baseball team swept a Skyline Conference doubleheader from St. Joseph's University Brooklyn on Sunday afternoon, earning a 9-0 win in the first game and a 16-6 run-rule victory in the second. With the sweep, the Rams extended their winning streak to 13 consecutive games and improved to 12-4 in conference play.
FSC (19-9) broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning of game one when senior outfielder
Richie Heyder (Holbrook, N.Y.) walked, moved to third on a single by senior first baseman
Dom LaFroscia (Sayville, N.Y.) and scored on a sacrifice fly from sophomore left fielder

The Rams then scored four runs in the sixth to increase the advantage to 5-0. With runners on first and second and two outs, LaFroscia registered a two-run double to put Farmingdale State ahead by three. D'Angelo followed with an RBI double before sophomore shortstop
Kaolis Delacruz (Levittown, N.Y.) produced an RBI single to take a 5-0 edge.

Mike Kocovic (Mahopac, N.Y.) went 2-for-3 with a run scored.
In game two, FSC trailed 6-5 in the fifth inning before recording five runs in the top of the sixth and six more in the seventh to earn the 16-6 run-rule win.Â
Kocovic was 4-for-5 with three runs scored and one run batted in, while Heyder produced two hits, including a double and a triple, three RBI's and two runs scored. LaFroscia tallied a home run, a walk and five runs batted in and junior second baseman
