DANBURY, Conn. | The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2025 Division III Softball All-ECAC Team on Friday morning, and Farmingdale State freshman pitcher
Madison DeMaio (Elmont, N.Y.) was named the ECAC Rookie of the Year.
DeMaio, who was also honored as both the Skyline Conference Pitcher and Rookie of the Year, finished the year with a 23-9 record, setting the single-season program wins record. In 193 innings pitched, she compiled a 2.32 earned run average, struck out 140 batters and held opponents to a .238 batting average. DeMaio was the NCAA leader with 35 games started, ranked fourth for complete games (24), sixth in innings pitched, and eighth for wins. She also held national rankings in shutouts (24th) and total strikeouts (140).
