Rende, Russo and Henry Earn Spots on All-Skyline Conference Women's Volleyball Team

COMPLETE ALL-SKYLINE CONFERENCE RELEASE
NEW YORK | The results of voting for the 2025 edition of the All-Skyline Conference Women's Volleyball Team were released Tuesday, and three student-athletes from Farmingdale State College received accolades in voting by the conference's 12 head coaches. Sophomore outside hitter Samantha Russo (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and senior setter Sarah Rende (Wantagh, N.Y.) collected first-team praise, while freshman middle blocker Alana Henry (Amityville, N.Y.) earned a spot on the second team.

Rende, a two-time second-team honoree, garners first-team kudos after directing the FSC offense to a Skyline-best 15.54 points per set average. She enters the Skyline Conference Championship with an 8.69 assists per set average that ranks second on the conference leaderboard, as well as a 0.63 service aces per set mark that ranks sixth. Rende ranks second in program history with 1,982 career assists, the most of any three-year player, while her 138 career aces are tied for ninth.

Russo repeats as a first-team selection after ranking third in the Skyline with an average of 3.72 points per set during regular-season play. She has landed 42 service aces for a 0.67 per-set average (No. 4 in Skyline), and floored 187 kills (2.97 average, ranked No. 5) while hitting .179 on the outside of the Farmingdale State lineup.

Henry was a two-time Rookie of the Week selection by the conference this fall (Oct. 6, 20), and solidified the middle of the Rams' lineup. Her 199.5 points, 176 kills and 35 total blocks thus far all rank second on the team, while she hit .251 during the regular season versus Skyline foes.

Farmingdale State (16-8) is seeded fourth in the six-team 2025 Skyline Conference Women's Volleyball Championship, and will play host to fifth-seeded Sarah Lawrence College in a first-round match, Tuesday night at 6.
