Three Men's Soccer Student-Athletes Selected to All-Skyline Conference Team

NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference released its 2024 men's soccer all-conference teams Saturday morning, and three student-athletes from Farmingdale State College were voted onto the squad by the conference's 12 head coaches.

Senior co-captains, midfielder Anthony Bileddo (Carle Place, N.Y.) and fullback Daniel Rivas (Westbury, N.Y.) were selected to the All-Skyline First Team, while freshman winger Jean Mejia (Freeport, N.Y.) garnered second-team kudos. Additionally, junior winger Tyree Baskin Jr. (Freeport, N.Y.) was honored on the Skyline's All-Sportsmanship Team.

Bileddo was the Skyline Conference Offensive Player of the Year last fall from a striker position, before shifting into a central midfield role for his senior season. A one-time Skyline Offensive Player of the Week recipient, he is tied with Mejia for the team leads with eight goals, five assists and 21 points. Bileddo was also named to the conference's weekly honor roll on Sept. 4 and Oct. 16, and ranks fifth in FSC history with career totals of 25 goals, 12 assists (tied) and 62 points. His clutch flair has also allowed the Carle Place native to net seven game-winning goals in the green and white, which is tied for the second-most in program history.

Rivas earns a spot on the first team after copping second-team accolades one season ago. The right fullback was chosen as the Skyline's Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 17, and his nine assists across his four-year tenure at Farmingdale State are the top mark by a defender in program history.

Mejia, tied for the team lead with Bileddo with 21 points on eight goals and five assists, was the conference's Offensive Player of the Week honoree on Sept. 17. He was selected to the Skyline's weekly honor roll seven days later, and his four game-winning goals are tied at the top of the Skyline leaderboard.

Farmingdale State owns an 8-8-3 record this season, and is the No. 6 seed in the 2024 Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Championship. The Rams will travel to Kings Point, N.Y., on Saturday for a 3 p.m., first-round game at third-seeded U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
