Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team hosted Skyline Conference opponent St. Joseph's-Long Island this afternoon and earned a 9-0 win.
The Rams (2-2, 1-1) cruised through doubles competition as the pairing of freshman Mark Baker (North Baldwin, N.Y.) and sophomore Steven Gaudio (Miller Place, N.Y.) recorded an 8-1 win in the first position. At #2 doubles, FSC's Daniel Kafka (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and Malik Bass (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) also tallied an 8-1 victory, while Chris Molchan (Mattituck, N.Y.) and Bradley Maslak (Middle Island, N.Y.) rounded out the sweep with an 8-2 win in the third slot.
In singles play, Baker (6-0, 6-0), Gaudio (6-0, 6-1), Bass (6-2, 6-0), Kafka (6-1, 6-0), Maslak (6-0, 6-0) and sophomore Cooper Everett (Long Beach, N.Y.) (6-0, 6-0) all earned wins in the first through sixth positions, respectively.
Farmingdale State next will play host to non-conference opponent Western Connecticut State on Thursday, April 4th at 4:30 p.m.
