Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team played host to five-time defending champion Yeshiva University in their Skyline Conference opener this afternoon and fell, 5-4.
In doubles competition, FSC (0-2, 0-1) freshman Mark Baker (North Baldwin, N.Y.) and sophomore Steven Gaudio (Miller Place, N.Y.) earned an 8-0 win over the pairing of Aaron Cohen (Johannesburg, South Africa) and Lior Brik (Zichron Yaakov, Israel) in the #1 position. The Rams recorded their second doubles point in the third slot after senior Bradley Maslak (Middle Island, N.Y.) and sophomore Chris Molchan (Mattituck, N.Y.) recorded an 8-4 victory.
Farmingdale State tallied two singles points as Baker (6-0, 6-0) and sophomore Cooper Everett (Long Beach, N.Y.) (6-2, 6-0) earned victories in the first and sixth positions, respectively.
FSC next will host the Pratt Institute Cannoneers for a non-conference match on Saturday, March 30th at 1:00 p.m.
