Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team played host to Brooklyn College in a non-conference match on Wednesday afternoon and earned a 9-0 victory. The Rams improved to 5-2 on the year, while the Bulldogs dropped to 2-4.
The pairing of freshman Andy Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and sophomore Daniel Kafka (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) recorded an 8-2 victory at #1 doubles, while seniors Kevin Palacios (Glen Cove, N.Y.) and Dan Baruch (East Meadow, N.Y.) won 8-0 in the second position. At third doubles, sophomore Patrick Madigan (Sayville, N.Y.) and freshman Josh Kaplan (Greenlawn, N.Y.) teamed up for an 8-1 victory for Farmingdale State.
In singles competition, Bentz (6-3, 6-1), Kafka (6-0, 6-1), Baruch (6-0, 6-0), junior Marvin Beaubrun (Farmingdale, N.Y.) (6-1, 6-0), sophomore Joseph Drago (Bronx, N.Y.) (6-0, 6-0) and freshman James Roth (North Massapequa, N.Y.) (6-0, 6-1) all tallied wins for the Rams.
FSC next will play host to Sage on Saturday, April 9th at 1:00 p.m.
