Rams Fall 5-4 to Mount Saint Mary on Senior Day

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team fell, 5-4, to Mount Saint Mary in a Skyline match on Senior Day. The Rams now stand at 8-5 overall and 4-2 in conference play, while the Knights are 9-3, 5-1.

Seniors Dan Baruch (East Meadow, N.Y.) and Kevin Palacios (Glen Cove, N.Y.) were each honored prior to the match for Senior Day.

Farmingdale State earned one point in doubles competition as the pair of Marvin Beaubrun (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and Baruch recorded a 9-8 (7-1) win against Joe Borden (Newburgh, N.Y.) and Shane Terry (Southampton, N.Y.) in the #3 slot.

In singles, Palacios won 6-3, 6-4 in the second position, while sophomore Daniel Kafka (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) carded a 6-2, 6-4 victory at third singles. FSC earned their final point with Beaubrun's 6-2, 6-2 with in the fifth slot.

The men's tennis team next will host John Jay in a non-conference match on Monday, April 25th at 4:30 p.m.
