The College of Staten Island - 5, Farmingdale State - 3

Staten Island, N.Y. - In a non-conference match on Wednesday afternoon, Farmingdale State traveled to The College of Staten Island and fell, 5-3. The women's tennis team now stands at 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the Skyline Conference.

The Rams earned one point in doubles competition as sophomore Madison Schrader (East Islip, N.Y.) and freshman Carolann La Monica (Islip, N.Y.) paired up for an 8-5 win in the third position.

In singles, freshman Annie Rai (Lahore, Pakistan) recorded a 6-0, 6-4 victory in the #4 slot, while senior Denise Liguori (Massapequa, N.Y.) carded a 6-2, 6-2 win in the fifth position.

The Rams next will head to Mount Saint Mary for a conference match on Saturday, September 19th at 1:00 p.m.
