COMPLETE SKYLINE CONFERENCE RELEASE
NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference announced the voting results of its 2025 Women's Tennis All-Conference Team on Wednesday afternoon, and four student-athletes from regular-season-champion Farmingdale State College were selected to the team. Additionally, freshman standout
Martine McGowan (Port Washington, N.Y.) was named Rookie of the Year, while FSC head coach
Adam Waterhouse garnered Coach of the Year accolades in voting by his peers.
McGowan was joined on the all-conference first team by junior
Natalia Furchel, while seniors
MacKenzie Gisler (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and
Gabriella Loria (Levittown, N.Y.) each received second-team recognition.
From her No. 2 singles and doubles positions, McGowan earned the Skyline Conference's Rookie of the Week award on four occasions (Sept. 8, 22; Oct. 6, 20). She enters Wednesday's (Oct. 22) Skyline Conference Championship semifinal versus Yeshiva (4:30 p.m. first serve) with a 9-4 singles record on the season, including a 6-1 mark in conference play, to go along with a matching overall mark in doubles competition with an unblemished slate versus Skyline opposition.
Furchel has gone 7-5 in both singles and doubles action thus far in 2025. She enters the conference championship with a 6-1 record versus Skyline foes in doubles matches, and a 5-2 mark in singles play.
Gisler, Farmingdale State's all-time leader in career doubles wins (51), has won all seven of her doubles matches in conference play while sporting an 11-1 mark across all competitions. The four-time All-Skyline honoree in as many seasons with the program owns a 9-4 singles record entering tourney play, and has won all but one of her seven tilts versus conference opposition.
Loria has an 8-2 record (5-0 Skyline) in singles play thus far this fall, including five wins in as many outings against Skyline counterparts, and an 8-4 mark (6-0 Skyline) in doubles play.Â
Waterhouse is in his 19th year coaching both the men's and women's tennis programs at Farmingdale State, and now has eight Coach of the Year honors (2012, 15-16, 19-22) to his credit with the women's team. The 1984 Oswego State graduate has also received nine Coach of the Year awards with the Rams' men's side.
