FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The top-seeded Farmingdale State women's tennis team cruised to a 4-0 victory over No. 4 Yeshiva in the semifinal round of the 2025 Skyline Conference Championship on Wednesday afternoon.Â
With the win, the Rams (10-4) advance to Saturday's championship final, where they will host second-seeded Manhattanville at noon.Â
FSC rolled through doubles play as senior
Gabriella Loria (Levittown, N.Y.) and freshman
Martine McGowan (Port Washington, N.Y.) tallied a 6-0 win in the second position. In third doubles, seniors
MacKenzie Gisler (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) andÂ
Mikayla DeMaria (West Babylon, N.Y.) earned a 6-1 victory to clinch the point for the Rams. Junior
Natalia Furchel (Manorville, N.Y.) and freshman
Kaelin Burnett (East Islip, N.Y.) were leading 5-1 at first doubles before the match was left unfinished.
In singles play, McGowan quickly extended the lead with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the No. 2 slot. Loria followed with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at fifth singles to push the advantage to 3-0. Gisler then secured the team victory with a 6-2, 6-1 win at fourth singles as Farmingdale State advanced with the 4-0 sweep.
