Rams Fall to Yeshiva in Semfinals

Edgewater, N.J. - The third-seed Farmingdale State men's tennis team fell 5-0 in the Skyline semifinals to #2 seed Yeshiva University (12-2). The Rams end the season with a 7-6 record overall, while Yeshiva advances to the Championship game against top-seed Mount Saint Mary on Sunday, April 27th at 1:00 p.m.

After doubles play, the Rams were down 3-0 with a close 8-6 loss at #3 doubles. Farmingdale State played great in the singles matches, but the Maccabees needed just two more wins for the match to be over, winning at #1 and #4 to suspend the match.

Freshman Tyler Danzy (Central Islip, N.Y.) had a close match at 1st singles with a 6-4 loss in the first set, but falling 6-1 in the second. Yeshiva won the Senior Judd Bahoui (Long Beach, N.Y.) fell 6-4 in the first set at #2 singles and was down 3-2 in the second set when the match was suspended.

At #3 singles, sophomore Kevin Palacios (Glen Cove, N.Y.) lost 7-6 in the first set and had just started the second set. Junior Brian Heinlein (Patchogue, N.Y.) lost a close 6-4 first set at #5 singles and was tied 2-2 in the second set. The #6 singles Cajetan Ferraro (Flushing, N.Y.) won the first set 6-4 and was up 3-0 in the second.
