(Bellmore, N.Y.) shot a two-day total of 151 with rounds of 80 and
71 as he finished tied for 11th place individually at the
Palamountain Invitational hosted by Skidmore College.
Farmingdale State posted rounds of 316 and 309 for a two-day
team total of 625 and a seventh place finish out of 11 teams.
In today's final round, Larkin made the turn at 2-over par and a
shot a 3-under 33 on the back nine as he was one shot off the low
round of the day.
Sophomore John Michael Haining (Hauppauge, N.Y.) carded rounds
of 78 and 79 for a total of 157 and senior Rob DeLeo (Dix Hills,
N.Y.) finished one stroke behind Haining with scores of 80 and 78.
Sophomore Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) posted 78 and 81 for a
two-day total of 159 for Farmingdale State.
Host school Skidmore College captured the team championship with
a two-day total of 586. Skidmore shot a round one score of 298 and
then posted an even par 288 in today's final round. Salem State
(297-290-587) finished in second place one stroke behind
Skidmore.
The Rams next will host a tri-match at Bethpage State Park -
Yellow Course on Wednesday, April 25th and then will travel to The
Bridge in Bridgehampton, N.Y. for the Long Island Intercollegiate
Championship hosted by St. Joseph's on April 26-27.
