RESULTS
WINDSOR, CT | The Farmingdale State College men's golf team wrapped up play at the Trinity (Conn.)/Hartford Invitational on Sunday afternoon at Keney Park Golf Course, tallying a second-round score of 295 (+15) to finish tied for 10th place with a two-day total of 594 (+34).
Division I Hofstra captured the team title with a score of 567 (+7), while Bowdoin placed second at 573 (+13).
Sophomore Rishi Talwar (East Farmingdale, N.Y.) led the Rams for the tournament, finishing 24th overall with a two-day total of 147 (+7). Talwar followed his opening-round 74 (+4) with a three-over-par 73 on Sunday.
Freshman Luke Grebinar (Leominster, Mass.) and junior Luke O'Grady-Rodgers (Carmel, N.Y.) each finished tied for 42nd place with identical two-day totals of 150 (+10). Both golfers recorded rounds of 73 (+3) in the final round after opening with a 77 (+7)Â on Saturday.
Freshman Philip Connolly (Garden City, N.Y.) placed 49th overall with a two-day score of 152 (+12). Connolly opened the tournament with a one-over 71 before posting an 81 (+11) in the second round.
Junior Padruig Douglas (Northport, N.Y.) finished 58th with a two-day total of 155 (+15) after shooting a 76 (+6) in the final round.
Farmingdale State will next travel to Jacksonville, N.C. to compete in the prestigious Camp Lejeune Marine Intercollegiate from April 10-12. The three-round event will be played at Paradise Point Golf Club Gold Course.
