Box Score Rams Remain Undefeated with Win at Purchase

Purchase, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team defeated Purchase College 7-2 on Friday afternoon in a conference match in Purchase, N.Y.. The Rams improved to 5-1, 4-0 in the Skyline with the win, while Purchase fell to 4-5, 1-1 in the conference.
Farmingdale State held a 2-1 lead after doubles play, as Farmingdale State's #1 doubles team of Christian Bormann and Joe Passarella notched an 8-6 victory and #3 doubles team of Joseph Falcetta (Deer Park, N.Y.) and senior Chris Genzmann (Massapequa, N.Y.) posted an 8-2 win.
In singles competition, the Rams won 5-of-6 matches, including a very close win by sophomore Alex Bessarabov (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) as he defeated Maxim Luiggi by scores of 2-6, 6-3 (10-4), 10-4.
The Rams will host NYU-Poly on Saturday, April 9th in a Skyline match at 1:00 p.m.
