Dowling Leads After First Round of Farmingdale Invitational

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team is currently in second place after today's opening round at the Farmingdale Invitational at Bethpage State Park - Red Course. Dowling College shot a team total of 301 and leads by 21 strokes.

The Rams were led by freshman Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) who posted an eight-over par 78. Junior Chris Arnold (Hauppauge, N.Y.) shot a 79, while freshman Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) carded an 80. Farmingdale State recorded a day one team total of 322.

Dowling's Kurt Brey (73) holds a one stroke lead over teammate Anthony Corsi (74). Brandon Romano of Dowling College is currently in third place individually after shooting a five-over 75.

The first tee time for tomorrow's final round is 9:16 a.m.
