RESULTS
EAST MEADOW, N.Y. | Junior Luke O'Grady-Rodgers (Carmel, N.Y.) shot a 1-under-par 71 to earn medalist honors and lead the Farmingdale State men's golf team to a first-place finish at the FSC Skyline Invitational on Thursday at Eisenhower Park's White Course. The Rams posted a team score of 296 (+8), finishing 19 strokes ahead of runner-up St. Joseph's-Long Island (315).
The invitational served as the final preparation for the upcoming Skyline Conference Championship, which will be played Sunday and Monday (Oct. 19–20) on the same course.
O'Grady-Rodgers shot one-under on the back, highlighted by three consecutive birdies on holes 11, 12 and 13, en route to his first win of the year.
Freshmen Philip Connolly (Garden City, N.Y.) and Luke Grebinar (Leominster, Mass.) each tied for second overall with rounds of 74 (+2), while junior Padruig Douglas (Northport, N.Y.) carded a 77 (+5) to tie for seventh. Junior CJ Merritt (Plainview, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring for FSC with a 78 (+6), tying for ninth place.
The Rams will return to Eisenhower Park's White Course this weekend for the Skyline Conference Championship on Sunday and Monday, October 19–20.
