Box Score Rams Defeat NYU-Poly at USTA National Tennis

Flushing, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team
picked up their second victory of the season with a 6-3 win over
conference opponent NYU-Poly (1-7, 0-5 Skyline) on Thursday night
at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing,
N.Y.
The Rams (2-6, 1-5) held a 2-1 advantage after doubles play,
before winning four sets at 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th singles to secure
the conference win.
Sophomores Regina Cane (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) and Laura
Earlie (Moriches, N.Y./William Floyd) won convincingly at #2
doubles, 8-1, to improve their season doubles record to 4-3.
The Rams will now host Yeshiva University on Tuesday, October
12th at 8:00 p.m. in their final Skyline match of the regular
season.
