Horgan Scores only Goal in Rams Victory

Farmingdale, N.Y. - Freshman forward Taylor Horgan (Long Beach, N.Y./Long Beach) scored the games only goal in the 38th minute, giving the Rams the eventual 1-0 victory, as they improve to 5-2-1 overall this season. St. Mary's falls to 2-4 overall with the loss.

Farmingdale controlled throughout as they outshot the Seahawks 24-13, and also led in corner kick opportunities 8-3. Freshman goalkeeper Maggie Studsrud (Staten Island, N.Y./Susan E. Wagner) made four saves in her first collegiate shutout. Her record now stands at an undefeated 2-0-1 in three games started for the Rams, with a 0.37 goals against average and a .857 save percentage.

St. Mary's freshman goalkeeper Grace Koplow (Ellicott City, Md./Wilde Lake) also had a great game in net, making 11 saves in defeat.

The Rams will be traveling for the next five contests, with their next game against Arcadia on Wednesday, September 23rd, a non-conference game at 4:00 p.m.
