SCRANTON, PA | The Farmingdale State women's soccer team traveled to non-conference opponent Scranton on Saturday and lost, 2-1. The Royals, who went 19-2-2 last season and reached the NCAA Championship Sweet 16, improved to 5-1-1, while the Rams fell to 2-6-1.
After a scoreless first half, Scranton broke through in the 50th minute when Jenna Borelli converted off a feed from Elise Nicholas.
Just four minutes later, FSC answered back as senior forward

The Royals quickly regained the lead only 30 seconds later, as Borelli tallied her second of the day off an assist from Aileen Carr.
Scranton controlled much of the possession, outshooting FSC 24-5 overall and holding a 9-1 edge in corner kicks en route to the 2-1 win.

Kelsie Feingold (East Northport, N.Y.) made three saves in relief. Scranton's Makenzie Van Lenten recorded two saves in the victory.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday evening (Sep 24) when they travel to Randall's Island Field to take on St. Joseph's-Brooklyn at 7:30 p.m.Â
