COMPLETE ALL-SKYLINE CONFERENCE RELEASE
NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference's 10 head softball coaches have cast their ballots on the 2026 edition of the all-conference teams, and six student-athletes from Farmingdale State College were recognized. Junior pitcher
Madison DeMaio (Elmont, N.Y.), junior utility
Madison Sturtz (East Islip, N.Y.) and sophomore shortstop
Natalie McMichael (Smithtown, N.Y.) received All-Skyline First Team praise, while senior designated player
Samantha Stolfi (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.), junior third baseman
Bailey Hammock (Port Jervis, N.Y.) and freshman first baseman
Emily Lopez (Miller Place, N.Y.) took home second team kudos.
DeMaio returns to the first team for the second time in as many seasons at FSC, having garnered Pitcher and Rookie of the Year accolades one season ago. She ranks 22nd nationally this spring with 139.1 innings pitched, and enters this week's Skyline Conference Championship with a 16-9 record and five shutouts to go along with 102 strikeouts.
Sturtz, a first-team selection in 2024 and a second-team recipient last spring, has spent time as a catcher, first baseman and left fielder in 2026. The Rams' leadoff hitter in the batting order this year, she is batting .352 with 25 runs scored, three triples and a .440 on-base percentage. Sturtz and Stolfi are the only two Rams who started in all 40 regular season games.
McMichael has stepped in as the starting shortstop in her first season at Farmingdale State, and hit .324 with 21 runs scored, 19 RBI, nine stolen bases and a .407 on-base percentage. Defensively, she owns a .943 fielding percentage, and has been a part of five of the Rams' Skyline-leading 18 double plays turned this spring.
Stolfi is now a four-time All-Skyline selection, and leads the team while ranking 10th in the Skyline with a .404 batting average. Her 30 RBI and 46 hits (tied) both rank fifth in the conference, while her career totals to date of 129 RBI and 173 career hits rank tied for third and sixth, respectively, in Farmingdale State history.
Hammock has been a second-team honoree in all three of her seasons in a green and white uniform, and has scored 23 runs and driven in 19 from her No. 2 spot in the batting lineup. She enters the conference championship with a .312 batting average, has laid down a Skyline-best 10 sacrifices, and ranks 28th in Division III with her per-game average of 0.28 in that category.
Lopez's 10 extra-base hits (6 2B, 3 3B, HR) led the Rams in her rookie collegiate campaign, and her .542 slugging percentage and 1.007 OPS are the Skyline's 10th and 11th-best marks, respectively. She is batting .361 entering championship weekend, and has worked 15 walks to hold a team-high .465 on-base percentage.
Farmingdale State is the No. 2 seed for this week's (May 7-9) Skyline Conference Championship, and holds a 25-15 record – marking the team's fifth-straight 25-win season. Double-elimination play gets underway Thursday at top-seeded Manhattanville University in Purchase, N.Y.
