COMPLETE ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT RELEASE
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | College Sports Communicators announced its 2026 Academic All-District® Softball Team on Tuesday, and Farmingdale State College applied psychology majors, senior designated player
Samantha Stolfi (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) and junior right-handed pitcher
Madison DeMaio (Elmont, N.Y.), both received recognition for their successes on the diamond and in the classroom.
Additionally, Stolfi has been selected to move onto the Academic All-America® ballot. Voting for that award will take place within the CSC membership over the next week, and the 2026 Academic All-America Softball Team will be announced on Tuesday, June 16.
Stolfi is now a three-time Academic All-District honoree in as many seasons of eligibility for the award. She led the Rams in 2026 with a .407 batting average, 50 hits and 34 RBI. Stolfi was named to the All-Skyline Conference team for the fourth time this spring, and the secretary of Farmingdale State's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will leave the program ranked third all-time in games played and started (166), third in RBI (133) and fifth in hits (177).Â
In her second collegiate season, DeMaio repeated as a First Team All-Skyline Conference selection and was named to the NFCA All-Region 3 Third Team. The 2025 Skyline Conference Pitcher and Rookie of the Year, she went 17-11 in the circle with a 2.79 earned run average, seven shutouts and 110 strikeouts.Â
Farmingdale State College went 27-17 in 2026, including a 15-3 record in Skyline Conference play. Head coach
Liz Pennino's Rams advanced to the final round of the Skyline Conference Championship, and posted 25-plus victories for the fifth consecutive season.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Â
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.Â
