RIVERDALE, N.Y. | Guards Brianna Amenta (So.; Oceanside, N.Y.) and Shyann Parker (Sr.; Floral Park, N.Y.) scored 12 points apiece Tuesday night, leading the Farmingdale State College women's basketball team to a 65-53, Skyline Conference victory at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.

Senior post Alexandria Walbroehl (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) notched a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds for FSC (4-4, 3-3 Skyline), while the Rams received seven points apiece from juniors Samyah Allen (Queens Village, N.Y.) and Mia Simmons (Queens, N.Y.), as well as sophomore Emily Tsiforas (Manhasset Hills, N.Y.). Tsiforas (7 rebounds, 3 steals) and Allen (2 steals) blocked two shots apiece on the defensive end of the floor against the Dolphins (2-6, 1-4), with Parker adding six rebounds, five assists and four steals from her point guard position.

Freshman Alana Henry (Amityville, N.Y.) scored the visitors' final six points of the first quarter, including a pair of field goals to cap an 11-4 run, to push Farmingdale State to an 18-14 lead after one period of play. Simmons's jumper with 1:47 remaining in the second period started a 7-0 run by the Rams, who ended the first half with a 36-24 halftime edge. Amenta (2-of-5 3FG) scored seven points during the second quarter, with Walbroehl's pair of free throws with 19 seconds to go rounding out the spurt.

FSC's lead increased to 53-37 through three quarters of play, before Tsiforas registered a layup and 3-pointer inside the first 90 seconds of the fourth period to push the advantage to 21. The Rams' lead climbed to as high as 61-39 on a Walbroehl layup with 6:22 on the clock.

Farmingdale State next plays host to Skyline foe SUNY Old Westbury in a noontime tip-off on Saturday (Dec. 13). The Rams' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is accepting donations at the game of new, unwrapped toys in support of its annual Toys for Tots drive for the U.S. Marine Corps.
