Farmingdale State 66, Old Westbury 48
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | Sophomore forward Emily Tsiforas (Manhasset Hills, N.Y.) shot 10-of-15 from the field on her way to a career-high 22 points on Saturday afternoon, guiding the Farmingdale State College women's basketball team to its third-straight Skyline Conference win as it defeated SUNY Old Westbury, 66-48.

Tsiforas was one of 11 players to find the scoresheet for the Rams (5-4, 4-3 Skyline), and hit both of her 3-point attempts to go with six rebounds and two steals. Senior post Alexandria Walbroehl (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) shot 6-of-8 from the floor to register 12 points and three blocked shots, while classmate and point guard Shyann Parker (Floral Park, N.Y.) checked in with nine points, three assists and as many steals. Freshman guard Leyla Barrett (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) scored six points on a pair of long-range efforts, while classmate Alana Henry (Amityville, N.Y.) led the team with season-highs of eight rebounds and three blocked shots.

FSC led 14-11 after one quarter, before a 16-2 run in the middle of the second frame pushed the hosts to a 36-23 lead at halftime. Parker scored five points during the run that saw the Rams net 7-of-10 field goals, while Walbroehl and Tsiforas adding four points apiece.

The hosts started the second half with a 12-2 spread over the first four minutes to put the game out of reach, with Tsiforas tallying eight points during the run. The Rams closed out the third quarter with a 57-32 lead, as sophomore guard Brianna Amenta (Oceanside, N.Y.) scored a pair of field goals in the final 1:14.
