FSC Athletics Update - November 24


NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference released its weekly basketball reports Monday afternoon, and men's basketball junior forward Liam Buckley (Manhasset, N.Y.) was cited on its honorable mention listing.

Men's Basketball (4-1) | Skyline Report

The Rams have now won three-consecutive games, as they defeated Baruch on the road Wednesday night, 86-73, followed by a 90-75 triumph at home Saturday versus Ramapo College. With Wednesday's victory over the Bearcats, 13th-year mentor Brendan Twomey recorded his 200th career victory at FSC.

Buckley averaged 11.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks and assists per game while shooting 9-of-15 from the field and 4-of-4 at the free-throw line during the week – including a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double against Baruch.

Farmingdale State's lone game of the Thanksgiving week will take place at home Saturday afternoon at 1, when it welcomes Wesleyan University – ranked No. 13 nationally in the D3hoops.com preseason Top 25 Poll.

Women's Basketball (2-2, 1-1 Skyline) | Skyline Report

FSC split its pair of Skyline-opening games, defeating St. Joseph's-Brooklyn by a 77-69 margin Wednesday night on the road, before dropping a 74-56 decision Saturday versus Manhattanville. Junior forward Samyah Allen (Queens Village, N.Y.) averaged 17.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks and steals per game while shooting .528 from the field (15-of-28).

Farmingdale State will play host to Skyline foe U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, which received votes in the national D3hoops.com preseason Top 25 Poll, Tuesday night at 6.
