OSWEGO, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College women's tennis team opened its 2026-27 season Sunday at Oswego State, falling to the host Lakers by a 7-0 margin.

Loria (7-5, 6-4) and Johanssen (6-3, 6-4) put up strong efforts in their respective second and fourth-flight singles matches, while sophomore
Kaelin Burnett (East Islip, N.Y.) forced a third set at the No. 1 slot against Borman before dropping a 10-6 decision in the super tiebreaker.
Farmingdale State's northern swing to start the season wraps up Monday at 9 a.m. at Cortland State.
