Flushing, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team traveled to the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. for a Skyline Conference match against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on Wednesday night and earned a 9-0 victory. With the win, FSC improved to 2-7 overall and 2-2 in the conference, while the Bears fell to 1-5, 0-5.

In doubles, freshman Steven Gaudio (Miller Place, N.Y.) and junior Daniel Kafka (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) recorded an 8-2 victory in the first position, while junior Bradley Maslak (Middle Island, N.Y.) and senior Marvin Beaubrun (Farmingdale, N.Y.) shutout their opponents, 8-0, in the #2 slot. At #3 doubles, freshmen Colby Rodriguez (Huntington Station, N.Y.) and Eric Pappas (Levittown, N.Y.) notched an 8-2 win.

In the singles sweep, Gaudio (6-1, 6-0), Maslak (6-4, 6-3), Beaubrun (6-0, 6-2), Kafka (6-0, 6-0), freshman Chris Molchan (Mattituck, N.Y.) (6-0, 6-0) and freshman Chris Bannwarth (6-1, 6-0) all recorded victories in the first to sixth position, respectively.

Farmingdale State next will host The College of Staten Island on Friday, April 13th in a non-conference match beginning at 4:30 p.m.
