Farmingdale, N.Y. - In non-conference men's tennis action on Wednesday night, Farmingdale State earned a 6-3 victory over The College of Staten Island. The Rams improved to 3-1 on the year, while the Dolphins fell to 2-1.

Sophomore Chris Hunter (Melville, N.Y.) and junior Kevin Palacios (Glen Cove, N.Y.) earned an 8-0 win at #1 doubles, while freshmen Karuppiah Karuppiah (Trichy, India) and Aravind Mahalingam (Hyderabad, India) tallied an 8-0 victory in the #3 position. At #2 doubles, sophomore Marvin Beaubrun (Farmingdale, N.Y.) paired with freshman Daniel Kafka (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and the two lost a close match, 9-8 (12-10).

The Rams earned three points in singles competition with wins by Hunter (6-2, 6-1), Kafka (6-0, 6-2) and freshman Joseph Drago (Bronx, N.Y.) (6-0, 6-0).

FSC will play host to York (NY) in a non-conference match later today at 4:30 p.m.
