Men's Tennis Wins Fourth Consecutive Skyline Conference Championship

2026 Skyline Conference Men's Tennis Championship - Final
(2) Farmingdale State 4, (1) Manhattanville 3
PURCHASE, N.Y. | Led by a straight-set victory in top-flight singles by freshman Devan Melandro (Syosset, N.Y.), along with a match-clinching win at the No. 6 flight by junior Danial Zindani (Walden, N.Y.), second-seeded Farmingdale State College won its fourth consecutive Skyline Conference Men's Tennis Championship over top-seeded Manhattanville University on Friday afternoon, 4-3.

FSC (14-7) has now clinched automatic qualification into next week's 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship, and the field will be announced via an online selection show on ncaa.com on Monday at 12:30 p.m.

Melandro was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Championship, and recorded a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 1 singles against Thomas Jouanneau to start the Rams' comeback from a 3-1 deficit versus the Valiants (13-9).

Manhattanville had captured the doubles point to start the afternoon after winning at the first and second flights, and doubled its edge after scoring a victory in the No. 2 singles slot.

After Farmingdale State got onto the scoreboard with a 6-4, 6-1 decision at No. 5 by freshman Henri Pothier (Montgomery, N.Y.) against Nicholas Gervasi, the Valiants went ahead 3-1 after carding a win in the third flight.

Melandro's win against Jouanneau started FSC's comeback, before sophomore Michael Lerman (Massapequa, N.Y.) came back from one set down at No. 4 to capture consecutive 6-1 set victories versus Elouan Charretteur to level the team score at 3-all.

Zindani won his first set against Manhattanville's Sami Badre-Hume, 7-5. The junior then received serve up 6-5 in the second set, and won four-consecutive points from Badre-Hume to give the Rams the championship hardware.
