Middletown, Conn. - The men's and women's cross
country team traveled to Connecticut to compete in the five-team
Wesleyan Invitational. Wesleyan is one of the premier Division III
cross country programs and on their home course they dominated the
meet.
The women placed third with freshman Melissa Bonilla (Massapequa
Park, N.Y./Farmingdale) finishing 16th in 22:25.52. On a very tough
course the team had six personal bests for the 5K and 8K.
Farmingdale's men's team placed a respectable second, led by
Sean Tiernan's (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) 7th place finish
in a fast 27:43.58. Sean Daly (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst)
followed in 8th place in 28:07.22 for the Rams.
