FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College cross country teams were back in action Saturday at the Golden Eagle Invitational, with the Rams' men's team scoring a seventh-place finish (189 pts.) while the women's side placed 15th (371) on the Bethpage State Park course.
FSC was led in the 8,000-meter men's race by sophomore
Gabriel Aguilar (Levittown, N.Y.), who placed 18th with a time of 28:15.0. Freshman
Jack Lengyel (Cheshire, Conn.) was next across the finish line with a 23rd-place time of 28:25.3, while sophomore
Max Reilly (Levittown, N.Y.) picked up a top-50 finish with his 43rd-place time of 30:12.9. Rounding out the Rams' scoring contingent were senior
Jonathan Engelhardt (Kings Park, N.Y.) and sophomore
Gabriel Bar Kochva (Bethpage, N.Y.) in times of 30:47.2 and 31:01.5, respectively.
In the 5,000-meter women's race, freshman
Alice Valenzuela (Elmont, N.Y.) paced Farmingdale State, as she placed 43rd by completing the loop in a time of 23:47.4.
The Rams are back in action on Oct. 6 (Sun.), when they travel to Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx for the Queensborough Community College Invitational.Â
