RESULTS
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College golf team wrapped up play Sunday at the two-day FSC Spring Invitational with a round of 292 (+12) on the Bethpage State Park Red Course, and finished the 36-hole event in a tie for third place (573, +13) with Bowdoin College.
Babson College, ranked 21st nationally, won the 16-team invitational with a two-day score of 565 (+5) on the Par 70 course, with No. 42 Amherst College finishing three shots back at +8 behind a medalist score of 137 (-3) from Jan Ebbinge.
FSC's +12 round on Sunday was the third-best score in the field, with Hamilton and Amherst carding a 286 and 289, respectively.
The Rams were led by junior
Padruig Douglas (Northport, N.Y.), who finished the weekend tied for eighth with a round of 72 (+2) on Sunday and a two-day score of 141 (+1). Classmate
Luke O'Grady-Rodgers (Carmel, N.Y.) matched Douglas's Sunday total, and wrapped up the competition one stroke behind his teammate and tied for 14th at 142 (+2). Farmingdale State freshmen
Philip Connolly (Garden City, N.Y.) and
Luke Grebinar (Leominster, Mass.) both carded a 74 (+4), as the pair finished the weekend at +6 and +9, respectively.Â
The Skyline Conference champion Rams will now set their sights on the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, which takes place May 12-15 at the Mission Resort + Club at Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
