HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL | The Farmingdale State men's golf team finished 22nd out of 43 competing teams after two rounds of the 2026 NCAA Division III Championship on Wednesday at Mission Resort & Club, as the Rams posted a two-day total of 602 (+30). FSC narrowly missed the cut for the final two rounds of the Championship by just four strokes following a weather-disrupted opening day that forced Farmingdale State to play 30 holes on Wednesday.
The Rams began play Tuesday afternoon on the Las Colinas course but were only able to complete six holes before storms suspended play and wiped out the remainder of the round. Round one was completed early Wednesday morning, immediately followed by the second round on El Campeon.
Farmingdale State entered the NCAA Championship following its Skyline Conference title in October and finished as the top unranked team in the 43-team field. After 36 holes, the top-18 teams advanced to the final two rounds of competition.
No. 9-ranked Illinois Wesleyan leads the championship after two rounds at 567 (-5), highlighted by a tournament-low nine-under-par on the El Campeon course. No. 8 Washington and Lee sits in second at 570 (-2), while No. 4 Carnegie Mellon and No. 7 Claremont-Mudd Scripps are tied for third at 571 (-1).
Farmingdale State opened play on Las Colinas (Par 71), where freshman Philip Connolly (Garden City, N.Y.) led the Rams with a 1-over-par 72. Juniors Padruig Douglas (Northport, N.Y.) and Luke O'Grady-Rodgers (Carmel, N.Y.) each opened with rounds of 76 (+5), while sophomore Rishi Talwar (East Farmingdale, N.Y.) shot a 77 (+6). Freshman Luke Grebinar (Leominster, Mass.) rounded out the scoring with a 78 (+7).
In the second round on El Campeon (Par 72), Douglas paced FSC with a 2-over-par 74, highlighted by an eagle on the 14th hole and three birdies on the day. Connolly followed with a 75 (+3), while O'Grady-Rodgers also carded a 75 (+3). Talwar posted a 77 (+5), and Grebinar closed with an 87 (+15).
Individually, Connolly led the Rams over 36 holes, finishing tied for 51st in the field of 225 competitors with a two-round total of 147 (+4). He missed making the cut as an individual by one stroke. Douglas was tied for 88th at 150 (+7), while O'Grady-Rodgers finished at 151 (+8), Talwar at 154 (+11), and Grebinar at 165 (+22).
