NEW YORK, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State men's and women's indoor track & field teams competed at the 2026 All-Atlantic Region Championships on March 6th and 7th at The Armory in New York, N.Y., highlighted by a school-record performance from freshman Ethan Zacarolli (Hillsdale, N.Y.).
Zacarolli finished fourth in the heptathlon with a total of 4,721 points, improving on the 4,550 he scored earlier this season and setting a new program record. His individual event performances included:
- 60-meter hurdles – 8.68 seconds (1st)
- High jump – 1.93m/6'4" (1st)
- Shot put – 10.42m/34'2.25" (9th)
- Long jump – 6.63m/21'9" (3rd)
- 60 meters – 7.32 seconds (3rd)
- 1,000 meters – 2:47.13 (3rd)
- Pole vault – 3.00m/9'10" (9th)
Each of Zacarolli's marks were his top efforts in his inaugural collegiate season, except for his high jump.
Junior Adonias Mercado (Hillsdale, N.Y.) recorded a top-10 finish in the shot put, placing eighth with a mark of 14.99 meters (49' 2.25"). Mercado also competed in the weight throw, registering a mark of 15.44 meters (50' 8") to place 21st overall.
Senior Daniel Bamfo (Lake Grove, N.Y.) paced the Rams in the triple jump with an 11th-place finish after recording a mark of 13.89 meters (45' 7"). Freshman Christian Destine (Rosedale, N.Y.) earned 21st in the event with a jump of 13.07 meters (42' 10.75").
Sophomore John Juste (Uniondale, N.Y.) finished 16th in the high jump after clearing 1.86 meters (6'1.25").
Junior Matthew Rintoul (Lake Grove, N.Y.) represented the Rams in the 800 meter, finishing 22nd with a personal-best time of 1:57.84, now 10th all-time in program history.
The 4x200-meter relay team of freshman Keelan Small (North Baldwin, N.Y.), sophomore Matthew Alicea (Mamaroneck, N.Y.), sophomore Nathaniel White (Mamaroneck, N.Y.), and senior Dontay Taylor (Layou, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines) ran 1:31.81 for 19th place. The quartet ran 1:29.62 last week at the NJAC Championships to qualify for the regional, the fourth-fastest mark in program history.
On the women's side, freshman Amelia Vitale (Hauppauge, N.Y.) ran a personal-best 1:01.83 in the 400 meter dash, tying for third on Farmingdale State's all-time indoor list.
