EWING, N.J. | The Farmingdale State indoor track teams were represented by two student-athletes on Sunday at the TCNJ Last Chance Meet, as the Rams closed out competition before regionals.
Junior thrower Adonias Mercado (Hillsdale, N.Y.) placed fifth in the shot put with a mark of 15.04 meters (49' 4.25"). Mercado opened with a toss of 14.83 meters before recording fouls on his next two attempts. He responded with his best throw of the day at 15.04 meters, followed by a 14.96-meter effort, and concluded the series with one final foul.
On the track, senior sprinter Dontay Taylor (Layou, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines) competed in the 200 meter dash, finishing 18th overall in a time of 22.74 seconds.
The meet served as a final tune-up opportunity for the Rams as they will next compete at the 2026 All-Atlantic Region Championships from Friday-Sunday, March 5th-8th.
