RESULTS
MALVERN, PA | The Farmingdale State College men's golf team wrapped up play at the Swarthmore Invitational on Monday at White Manor Country Club. The Rams shot a 305 (+21) in the second round and a 292 (+8) in the third round to finish in sixth place overall out of 16 competing teams with a score of 906.
Dickinson won the event with a total of 872, while No. 39 Franklin & Marshall took second with an 884.
Freshman Philip Connolly (Garden City, N.Y.) led Farmingdale State with a three-round total of 220 (+7), finishing third individually. Connolly carded a 74 (+3) in the second round before firing a 70 (-1) in the final round. He took third place behind No. 21 ranked Colin McMahon-Shea of Dickinson (210) and No. 64 Dylan Zhang of Swarthmore (217).
Junior Luke O'Grady-Rodgers (Carmel, N.Y.) followed his second-round 77 (+6) with an even-par 71 in the final round, finishing 36th overall with a total of 231 (+18).
Freshman Luke Grebinar (Leominster, MA) shot a 79 (+8) in the second round and improved with a 74 (+3) in the third round to place tied for 39th. Junior Padruig Douglas (Northport, N.Y.) recorded a 75 (+4) in round two and a 77 (+6) in the final round, also finishing tied for 39th.
Sophomore Rishi Talwar (East Farmingdale, N.Y.), who led the Rams with a 74 (+3) in the first round on Sunday, shot an 83 (+12) in the second round and an 81 (+10) in the third to place 52nd.
Senior James Quinlan (Poughquag, N.Y.), competing as an individual, carded an 81 (+10) in round two before tallying a 75 (+4) in the final round to finish with a three-round total of 233 (+20).
Farmingdale State will next compete in the Trinity (Conn.) Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, April 4-5 at Keney Park Golf Club in Windsor, Connecticut.
