PURCHASE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College women's basketball team saw its season come to an end Friday night, as the fourth-seeded Rams fell in the semifinal round of the 2026 Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Championship at top-seeded Manhattanville University, 81-58.

Manhattanville (21-5) advances to Sunday's championship final, where it will play host to the winner of Friday night's semifinal between third-seeded Mount Saint Mary College and No. 2 seed U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

FSC (15-12), which advanced to its second consecutive semifinal round, jumped out to a 4-2 lead 2:20 into the contest behind back-to-back layups by senior All-Skyline point guard Shyann Parker (Floral Park, N.Y.). The host Valiants ran off the next 11 points over a 3:03 stretch, and held a 23-9 lead after one quarter of action.

The Rams cut their deficit to 11 points, at 35-24, 4:02 left in the opening half after a step-back jumper by junior guard Mia Simmons (Queens, N.Y.) and a lay-in by senior forward Alexandria Walbroehl (Mastic Beach, N.Y.). From there, Manhattanville carried a 49-30 edge into the halftime break after beating the buzzer with a 3-pointer, and ran off the first 10 points of the third quarter to take full control.

Parker rounded out her career with a team-high 20 points and eight rebounds, while Simmons added 10 points. Freshman forward Alana Henry (Amityville, N.Y.) added seven points off the bench, with Walbroehl (eight rebounds), junior Samyah Allen (Queens Village, N.Y.; nine rebounds) and sophomore Brianna Amenta (Oceanside, N.Y.) all scoring six points apiece.
