FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's and women's basketball teams are set to compete in the Skyline Conference Semifinals on Friday evening, with both programs looking to punch their ticket to Sunday's Championship game.

The second-seeded men's basketball team will play host to third-seeded Sarah Lawrence College in the semifinal round after an 83-62 victory over St. Joseph's-Long Island in the quarterfinals. Junior forward Liam Buckley (Manhasset, N.Y.) led the way for FSC with 18 points, 11 rebounds and three assists.

The winner of Friday's 7:00 p.m. semifinal game will advance to Sunday's Championship Final and face either top-seeded Yeshiva University or No. 5 Purchase College for the title.

On the women's side, the fourth-seeded Rams will travel to No. 1 Manhattanville University for a 5:00 p.m. tip-off on Friday. Farmingdale State advanced to the semifinals with a 43-37 first round victory over St. Joseph's-LI. Junior guard Mia Simmons (Queens, N.Y.) scored a game-high 16 points as the Rams held the Golden Eagles to just 25.5% shooting from the field.

The winner of Friday's contest will move on to Sunday's Championship Final and take on the winner of the other semifinal matchup between No. 3 Mount Saint Mary and No. 2 Merchant Marine.

All remaining rounds of the Skyline Conference Championships are ticketed events. Admission is $9 for adults and $4 for children and senior citizens. Students with a valid ID will be admitted free of charge! All ticketing is cashless and spectators are encouraged to purchase tickets prior to arrival to avoid delays at the door.
