Conroy Paces Men's Basketball Victory at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn

Farmingdale State 92, St. Joseph's-Brooklyn 63
BROOKLYN, N.Y. | Senior guard Sean Conroy (Staten Island, N.Y.) made seven 3-point field goals on his way to 24 points Tuesday night, helping the Farmingdale State College men's basketball team to a 92-63, Skyline Conference victory at St. Joseph's University-Brooklyn.

With the victory, the Rams (19-3, 12-1 Skyline) secured the top spot in the Skyline's Black Division, and will be at least the No. 2 seed in the eight-team 2026 Skyline Conference Championship, which gets underway on February 24. Additionally, Conroy's seven treys are tied with six other players for the second-most in a game in FSC history, and sits only behind Ryan Kennedy's school-record eight 3-pointers made against Old Westbury on February 11, 2020.

Senior guard Michael Notias (Manhasset, N.Y.) scored seven straight points to cap a 13-4 run for Farmingdale State, as the visitors went in front 20-9 with 12:31 left in the first half. After the Bears (7-15, 4-9) cut their deficit to 25-21 with just over 9 minutes left in the first half, FSC sophomore Jordan Tucker (Elmont, N.Y.) responded with five consecutive points as part of a 9-0 run, and helped the Rams to a 47-30 halftime lead.

St. Joseph's closed to within 10 points just 4:25 into the second half, before a pair of 3-pointers by Conroy sandwiched a Notias free throw to increase the Farmingdale State lead to 61-44 with 14:10 on the clock. The Rams finished the contest by netting 15 of the last 18 points over the final 5:07 to lock up at least a top-two seed in the Skyline tourney with three regular-season games remaining.

Notias shot 6-of-11 from the field en route to 17 points and four assists, while junior Liam Buckley (Manhasset, N.Y.) checked in with 14 points and a team-best eight rebounds. Tucker shot 5-of-7 from the floor on his way to 12 points off the bench, while three FSC players pulled down seven boards apiece: junior post Kentrell Evans (Brooklyn, N.Y.), senior guard Robbie Siechen (Syracuse, N.Y.) and freshman forward Dylon Stanley (Lynbrook, N.Y.). The Rams held a 50-27 rebounding edge over the Bears, as well as a 22-4 margin in second-chance points.

Farmingdale State wraps up regular-season road play on Saturday afternoon, when it travels to St. Joseph's-Long Island for a 1 p.m. start.
