Farmingdale State - 85, St. Joseph's-Long Island - 74
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's basketball team built a 46-24 halftime lead and went on to defeat St. Joseph's-Long Island, 85-74, in Skyline Conference action on Wednesday evening. With the win, the Rams improved to 10-2 overall and 3-0 in Skyline play.

The Rams were down 10-6 early before using a 13-0 run to jump in front, 19-10. Freshman forward Dylon Stanley (Lynbrook, N.Y.) started the spurt with a tip-in layup and senior guard Sean Conroy (Staten Island, N.Y.) followed with a 3-pointer. After sophomore forward Jordan Tucker (Elmont, N.Y.) converted a three-point play, Stanley hit a 3 to take a seven-point advantage. Tucker closed the run with a jumper before the Golden Eagles (6-6, 2-1 Skyline) called a timeout.

After a pair of baskets by St. Joe's, Farmingdale State scored 17 unanswered points to build a 36-14 lead with 3:22 on the clock.

FSC took a 46-24 lead into the halftime break and traded baskets early in the second half.

Still down by 22, the Golden Eagles closed the gap to 15 with 13:58 remaining. The Rams quickly responded with back-to-back 3-pointers by senior guard Michael Notias (Manhasset, N.Y.), a fast break layup by Tucker and dunk from junior forward Kentrell Evans (Brooklyn, N.Y.) to extend their lead to 25.

Farmingdale State led by as many as 26 down the stretch and earned the 85-74 Skyline Conference victory.

Notias finished with a game-high 17 points, while Conroy added 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Stanley contributed 15 points and six rebounds off the bench and Evans posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Tucker and junior guard Derek Reed (Shinnecock, N.Y.) tallied seven points apiece in the win.

Farmingdale State returns to action on Saturday, January 10th, when they travel to Merchant Marine for a Skyline Conference matchup at noon.
