FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State men's basketball team returned to action on Saturday afternoon and cruised to a 92-60 Skyline Conference victory over St. Joseph's-Brooklyn. The Rams improved to 9-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play with the win.

Prior to game, FSC hosted its eighth annual CYO Day, welcoming youth teams from across Long Island for a free basketball clinic and pizza party led by Farmingdale State coaches and student-athletes. Over 100 boys and girls attended for the second consecutive year.

The Rams held a 35-32 advantage late in the first half before closing on a 7-0 run to take a 42-32 lead into the break. With 1:48 on the clock, junior guard Derek Reed (Shinnecock, N.Y.) connected on a jumper and a free-throw, followed by a deep 3-pointer from senior guard Sean Conroy (Staten Island, N.Y.). Sophomore forward Jordan Tucker (Elmont, N.Y.) then stole the ensuing inbound pass and was fouled, hitting 1-of-2 at the free throw line give FSC a 10-point lead.

Farmingdale State opened the second half on a 10-2 run, highlighted by a pair of 3's by senior guard Michael Notias (Manhasset, N.Y.), to quickly go ahead by 18, 52-34.

The Rams pushed their margin to 19 at 59-40 with 14:34 remaining and extended the advantage following a Conroy 3 and a layup by freshman forward Dylon Stanley (Lynbrook, N.Y.).

FSC maintained at least a 20-point lead over the final 12:27 as they went on for the 92-60 Skyline Conference victory.

Notias led all scorers with 15 points, five assists and three steals, while junior forward Kentrell Evans (Brooklyn, N.Y.) recorded a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
