NEW HAVEN, Conn. | Farmingdale State College freshman track and field standout
Ethan Zacarolli (Hillsdale, N.Y.) continued his strong rookie campaign Saturday night by winning the 55 meter hurdles and high jump events at the William Sutherland Invitational.
Zacarolli clocked a time of 7.88 seconds to win the 55 meter hurdles, good for the fifth-best time in FSC history, before leaping to a winning height of 1.88 meters (6-foot-2) in the high jump for the Rams. He also placed fourth in the long jump, registering a mark of 6.57m (21-6.75).
Sophomore sprinter
Nathaniel White (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) broke the tape in the 200 meter dash in a winning time of 22.90 seconds, while classmate
Davian Rodriguez (West Islip, N.Y.) followed Zacarolli in the 55 meter hurdles with a fourth-place time of 8.33. Freshman
Christian Destine (Rosedale, N.Y.) once again met the All-Atlantic Regional qualifying standard in the triple jump with a second-place mark of 13.58m (44-6.75), as did classmate
Jaden Cesar's (Queens, N.Y.) third-place effort of 13.54m (44-5.25). Junior thrower
Adonias Mercado (Hillsdale, N.Y.) notched a pair of top-five finishes on the night, including a third-place regional qualifying mark of 16.13m (52-11) in the weight throw, and a fifth-place mark of 14.18m (46-6.25) in the shot put.
Freshman
Amelia Vitale (Hauppauge, N.Y.) used a time of 1:04.40 to place fifth in the women's 400 meter dash, good for No. 11 all-time at Farmingdale State, while classmate
Emily Graziano (East Islip, N.Y.) ran to a ninth-place time of 30.24 in the 200 meter dash. Jumpers

Treesha Jayakody (Jr.; Middle Island, N.Y.) placed fifth and sixth in the high jump (1.40m; 4-7) and triple jump (9.33m; 30-7.5), respectively, with sophomore thrower
Victoria DeGraw (Kerhonkson, N.Y.) earning a seventh-place finish in the shot put with her toss of 9.91m (32-6.25). Junior pole vaulter
Mishell Delgado (Bronx, N.Y.) rounded out FSC's top-10 performances on the night with a 10th-place showing of 2.55m (8-4.25).Â
Farmingdale State returns to competition on February 6, when it travels to New London, Connecticut for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Winter Invitational No. 2.
