Manhattanville - 74, Farmingdale State - 41
PURCHASE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College women's basketball team fell to Manhattanville University, 74-41, in a Skyline Conference road matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Rams dropped to 9-9 overall and 7-6 in conference play, while the Valiants (15-3) remain unbeaten in the Skyline at 13-0.
Manhattanville led 21-7 after the first quarter and extended its advantage to 40-17 at halftime. The Valiants outscored Farmingdale State 21-11 in the third quarter to take a commanding 61-28 lead entering the fourth.
Farmingdale State scored 13 points in the final quarter as Manhattanville went on for the conference victory.
Senior forward Alexandria Walbroehl (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) produced a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in 17 minutes of action for FSC.
The Rams will next travel to Merchant Marine for a Skyline Conference game on Wednesday, January 28th at 5:00 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday before being moved to Wednesday.
